Om Ji

Om Ji is known far and wide, not because he was born and bred in Sanganer, but because he is one of the only mud printers left in Sanganer. He does everything from mincing the special mud into a very fine and runny paste, to printing and dying, all in the tranquil surrounds of his home.

 

He has passed down to his son Shankar not only the printing genes of precision and creativity, but a passion and respect for this beautiful craft and the natural elements that it involves.
